A new smartphone application to report antisemitism has been introduced in France.

The app, launched this week by International League Against Racism and Antisemitism (Licra), a French organisation, will enable users contact police via a digital panic button and even photograph antisemitic graffiti.

According to a report by French-Jewish security unit SPCJ earlier this year, there has been a 58 per cent rise in antisemitic incidents in France since 2011.
