World Jewish Relief launches Mexico earthquake appeal

World Jewish Relief has launched an emergency appeal following the earthquake which struck Mexico yesterday.

More than 200 people have died but the toll is expected to rise as rescue workers continue searches among the rubble.

Donations will enable the charity to provide shelter, temporary accommodation and hygiene kits to victims.

Paul Anticoni, WJR chief executive, said: “As we head into Rosh Hashanah, sadly the world is in turmoil once again. Thousands of people have lost everything in Mexico.
