Vandals banned from cemeteries

A 13-year-old boy who pleaded guilty to vandalising Blackley Jewish Cemetery in Manchester was given a nine-month restraining order preventing him from visiting any cemetery in the city.

He will be electronically tagged for three months.

A second 13-year-old boy, who also pleaded guilty, was told to pay £500 in compensation and banned from cemeteries for nine months. The sentences were given at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
