The bizarre clip seemingly provides a window into the US President’s controversial plan to develop the Strip into the ‘Riviera of the Middle East’
February 26, 2025 14:38“Donald’s coming to set you free, bringing the light for all to see, no more tunnels, no more fear: Trump Gaza’s finally here,” according to the lyrics of a new AI-generated video shared by the US President showing his grand vision for the war-torn Strip.
On Wednesday morning, Trump posted the clip on his social media platform Truth Social, showcasing Dubai-style skyscrapers, beachside parties and luxury yachts in a reimagined Gaza.

“Trump Gaza’s shining bright, golden future, a brand new life, feast and dance the deal is done, Trump Gaza number one,” an AI-generated voice sings, while the video shifts between scenes of a Middle Eastern paradise featuring lively highstreets where electric Teslas cruise through.
It follows Trump’s announcement of his plan for the US to “take over” Gaza and resettle its two million-strong civilian population elsewhere. He has continued to push for the plan, which was praised by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but rejected by Egypt, Jordan, Britain and other European countries.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia confirmed that there would be no normalisation of its relations with Israel unless a Palestinian state is established. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasises that this unwavering position is non-negotiable and not subject to compromises,” a spokesperson for the foreign ministry said shortly after Trump’s comments.
The US president told reporters at a press conference in early February that he envisioned “long-term” US ownership of the enclave, which would be developed into the “Riviera of the Middle East" for the “world’s people”, while Palestinians would be transferred “permanently” in neighbouring countries (though officials later clarified this would be temporary).
The video, opening with the caption “Gaza 2025 … what’s next?”, depicts Palestinians, exhausted from 16 months of war, walking out of tunnels and devastated, rubble-strewn streets. They arrive at a lavish, beach-style resort, where bearded belly dancers perform on the golden sand.
Trump is depicted in the video as a venerated icon. A towering golden statue of the Republican leader overlooks the crowds, who are seen shopping for golden, Trump-themed merchandise at a gift shop.
A child walks down the street holding a balloon shaped like a giant Trump head, while the video transitions to a golden building labelled "Trump Gaza." At another point, the 47th president is seen dancing with a belly dancer in a club – though this one unbearded.
Gazan children are similarly shown dancing on a beach as money rains down on them. Tech billionaire and close Trump ally Elon Musk also features repeatedly, eating flatbread and dancing beneath dollar bills falling from the sky. The video concludes with the US president and Benjamin Netanyahu, both shirtless, lounging by a pool and drinking cocktails.
At the time of the February press conference, Netanyahu praised Trump’s proposal to redevelop Gaza and resettle its population as “worth paying attention to”.
Meanwhile, British Jewish groups voiced a mixture outrage, scepticism and praise over the plan.
Progressive Judaism openly criticised the American president’s proposal as “troubling” and “morally wrong”. In a statement signed by more than 30 Reform and Liberal rabbis, the movement said it “unequivocally” rejected the plan and reiterated its support for a two-state solution.
But Gary Mond, the chairman of the National Jewish Assembly, praised the US president for thinking “outside the box”.
“His proposal is in effect a confirmation that the two state solution concept has utterly failed. Trump and his government appreciate that the real issue in the Middle East is that the Palestinian’ leadership will never accept a Jewish state in the Middle East, which is why so many past attempts at peace have failed,” he said.
