A young Jewish man was reportedly stabbed by a man screaming “Free Palestine” close to Chabad HQ in New York City early on Saturday morning.
A local rabbi posted on social media saying he knew the victim and CCTV footage emerged of the attack.
The rabbi, Yaacov Behrman, tweeted that the young male attacker asked the man: “Do you want to die?”
He then stabbed him. The victim was quickly taken to the hospital and expected to make full recovery, Behrman wrote.

"Do you want to die?"
That's what the perpetrator — reportedly a black male in his early 20s — asked the victim, before he started stabbing him.

Community members reportedly chased the attacker and pinned him down until police arrived and arrested him.
“This is an extremely serious incident. The victim could have been killed. This act of hateful violence highlights the dangerous impact of anti-Semitic incitement and hate propagated by some local politicians and leaders in New York and across the United States,” Behrman wrote.
