Rabbi Chaim Halpern will stand trial on charges of sexual assault in November.

The Golders Green rabbi pleaded not guilty to two counts of inappropriately touching a woman between June 1 and July 31 2022 at Harrow Crown Court, sitting at Hendon Magistrates, on Friday.

Charged under his English name Aaron, he appeared at a 50-minute plea and direction hearing.

The trial, which has been set for November 11, is expected to last six or seven days but the date will be confirmed at a further hearing on June 4.
