A Cornish radio host who spouted antisemitic hatred on his online show has been sentenced to 32 months’ imprisonment.

Examples of Graham Hart’s radio rants detailed in court included him saying Jews were “filth”, “like rats” and that they needed to be “wiped out”.

The court heard he said: “If you’re listening Mr Jew we’re coming to get you. Let’s get rid of the Jews, it’s time for them to go. After Christmas I’m going to work, going on the attack because I’ve had enough. I don’t want bloodshed but if that’s what it takes to get it done.”

He also reportedly said: “Why did Hitler want to gas them? Why did Hitler hate the Jews? Why have they been kicked out of 79 countries 199 times? Because they’re filth, that’s why.”

Hart, 69, pleaded guilty in June to eight counts of producing a “programme in service with intent or likely to stir up racial hatred”.

The offences took place between 2016 and 2020.

Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a dossier of evidence on Hart's rants to the police.

When police investigated and found material presenting the Holocaust as a hoax and ridiculing Jewish people on his social media. Books and documents related to the Holocaust were also recovered from his property.

Nick Price, Head of the Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division in the CPS, said: “Graham Hart used his position to influence people as a radio host to stir up racial hatred and incite violence against the Jewish race.

“I am pleased that he has been brought to justice and we have put an end to his abusive and insulting broadcasts. The CPS are committed to prosecuting hate crime and will continue to work as an independent body to ensure justice is served.”

Stephen Silverman, Director of Investigations and Enforcement at Campaign Against Antisemitism, said: “Thanks to the diligence of officers DC Sean McDonnell and DI Daniel Massey, who acted on our investigations, Graham Hart will be in prison and restricted from reoffending for the next ten years.

"The offences he committed constitute some of the most extreme hatred towards Jews that we have ever encountered. It is vital that the Jewish community is protected from this man, which this sentence achieves. It also sends a necessary message to like-minded people that hate towards British Jews will not be tolerated.”
