The Jewish former boyfriend of one of the victims of the Bushey crossbow murders has described Hannah Hunt as the “the love of my life” in a heartbreaking message.
Former JFS student Alex Klein was in a long-term relationship with Hannah Hunt, 28, who was discovered dead at her home alongside her sister, Louise, 25, and mother, Carol, 61 on Tuesday evening.
Posting an image of himself alongside Hannah, Klein, 29, wrote: “RIP the love of my life, I will never forget you, stolen from me too soon. The brightest light in my life. My brave queen for life. Until we meet again, I love you.”
Klein also shared images of the couple on holiday, attending events and having dinner.
Hannah worked in the beauty industry and had several Jewish colleagues.
A vigil for the family took place at St James’ Church community on Bushey High Street.
Carol, Hannah and Louise were the wife and two daughters of BBC and Sky racing broadcaster John Hunt.
Hannah’s younger sister, Louise, is understood to have set up a dog-grooming business at the family home over lockdown and had a significant number of Jewish clients.
Toby Marks, 33, a former JFS student from Bushey, took his dog Wilson to Louise, for a groom on Thursday last week. He described Louise as “a really nice girl, really sweet,” adding: “She was really good at what she did. She was a young girl who started her business over lockdown, and she was always busy. She was such a lovely person, I can’t believe this happened to her.”
Marks said the death of the women has had a significant impact on the local community. He said: “It’s just unimaginable. We still can’t believe what’s happened. Everyone knows someone who knows the family, it’s a real shock.”
Luisa, who attends the North Western Reform Synagogue, sent her dog Zola to Louise for around 3.5 years. She described Louise as “gentle, sweet, caring, so amazing,” adding: “She had such a calming influence, we would talk a lot.”
Luisa, who described racing commentator John Hunt - Louise and Hannah’s father, and Carol’s husband - as “the nicest man”, added: “The entire local community is shocked, because of their jobs [the Hunt family] knew a lot of people. The entire community is in mourning.”
On Wednesday evening, a man named as 26-year-old Kyle Clifford was taken to hospital - escorted by paramedics and police officers.
Kyle Clifford, 26 from Enfield, is suspected of carrying out the triple murder and was detained after a 24-hour manhunt.
