Notorious antisemite and Holocaust revisionist Gilad Atzmon is no longer performing at an iconic London Jazz club following complaints about his planned appearance.

Club 606 originally defended its decision to host saxophonist Gilad Atzmon, whose past statements include "Jewish ideology is driving our planet into a catastrophe" and “I'm not going to say whether it is right or not to burn down a synagogue, I can see that it is a rational act”.

However in a statement, the club announced that Mr Atzmon had “agreed to stand down” in order to "protect the venue’s reputation".

“In the meantime the club will liaise with concerned parties while it investigates allegations, so far unsupported, against him,” it said.
