Israeli illusionist and self-proclaimed psychic Uri Geller has written an open letter to Prime Minister Theresa May saying will use his telepathic powers to prevent her from “leading Britain into Brexit”.
He wrote on Facebook: "I feel psychically and very strongly that most British people do not want Brexit.
"I love you very much but I will not allow you to lead Britain into Brexit.
"As much as I admire you, I will stop you telepathically from doing this - and believe me I am capable of executing it."
He added that he was already using his power to "ensure Jeremy Corbyn never gets the keys to 10 Downing Street".
Two days after Mr Geller wrote the letter, reports emerged suggesting the cabinet was on the brink of ousting the Prime Minister, leading to jokes that the spoon-bender was indeed directing her fate.
Declan Lawn, a screenwriter, wrote on Twitter: “I think we all need to be very careful about annoying Uri Geller in future. Just let him have what he wants, his power is terrifying.”
If the rumours are true and Theresa May is facing a cabinet coup tonight, I think we all need to be very careful about annoying Uri Geller in future. Just let him have what he wants, his power is terrifying.

The Israeli psychic warned Mrs May he could take a "drastic course of action” to stop Brexit unless she changed course.
He said that his power had been "validated" by the CIA, MI5 and Mossad.
