Homelands documentary claims to chart 'the silent exodus of Jewish and Christian families, forced out of Western Europe'

Katie Hopkins is to appear at two screenings of a documentary on “forced Jewish and Christian exodus from Western Europe”, it has been announced.

At one of the screenings, at an as yet undisclosed location in London, Ms Hopkins will be hosted by Campaign4Truth, a group that says its aim is to "analyse & promote understanding of major issues in the Jewish diaspora, Israel & the Middle-East pro-Israel".

The far-right media figure, a former tabloid columnist and LBC radio host, is notorious for controversial and inflammatory statements on Muslims, having referred to refugees as “cockroaches”, and calling for a “final solution” to Islamist-inspired terror.

Two months ago, she promoted an event in Finland where the one of the speakers was Kevin MacDonald, an American psychologist who is notorious for his theories about "Jewish influence".

The film, Homelands, claims to document “the silent exodus of Jewish and Christian families, forced out of Western Europe by Islamists”.

The first screening was due to take place at the Yad Lebanim Cultural Centre in Ra’anana, in Israel, on June 10 but was cancelled and the second will be hosted in London on July 2.

At both showings, Ms Hopkins will be joined by Janice Atkinson, a former Ukip MEP who once referred to a Thai-born Ukip campaigner as a “ting-tong”. She and the party’s then-leader, Nigel Farage, later apologised.

When approached for comment, Campaign4Truth said: "Homelands is a film about the Jexodus, the Jewish exodus from Europe as a result of growing antisemitism, told by Jewish families who have first hand experience.

"Made by Janice Atkinson MEP and Katie Hopkins, Homelands highlights the increasing antisemitism across the EU. Rabbi Chaim Klein says in the film that, although the source of antisemitism is seen, fear of appearing 'racist' stops people speaking about it."

A Board of Deputies spokesperson told the JC: "The vast majority of our community will remember Jewish history, and be clear that the far-right are no friends of ours."
