The Jewish man charged with a double murder appeared in court on Monday morning.
Joshua Cohen is accused of stabbing his mother and sister to death at the family’s home in Golders Green, in north-west London.
He was arrested in a local park on Saturday after police launched a manhunt.
Appearing at Hendon Magistrates Court, Mr Cohen, dressed in a grey prison sweatshirt and sweat pants, was in the dock for only two minutes, speaking only to give his name and address.
He was unrepresented in court.
The address he gave, in Golders Green Crescent, was the same as where the two bodies were discovered on Friday night.
A bail application was set for August 16 at the Central Criminal Court, while a plea hearing was set for September 11.
