An Israeli man has passed the first round of Britain's Got Talent by performing songs by making fart sounds with his hands.

Guy First, a 26-year-old musician, took to the stage on Saturday as ominious music played. He placed his hands together while the audience grew uneasy at what might happen next.

He then performed a version of Take On Me by A-ha with what BGT called his "musical flatulence". His medley included Ghostbusters and Eye Of The Tiger.

By the end, the audience was singing the words to accompany the sound of Mr Mirst farting with his hands.

All four judges voted 'Yes' to put him through to the next round.

Mr First, who is from Ramat Gan, later wrote on Facebook: "Holy wowzies. I just got 4 yeses for my hand fartzies!!! Honestly wasn’t expecting this kind of a reaction. I’m blown awayyyyyyy."

Speaking with BGT after his appearance, he said: "Well I'm really excited. I just got four yeses. That's amazing. I didn't think something so stupid would be so good... 

"Anyway, what's next? Who knows. Good stuff I hope."

Judge David Walliams tweeted: "Entertainment doesn't get any better than a man farting with his hands."

Mr First already has a large internet presence. His YouTube channel State Of The Fart already has close to 8,000 followers.

There, he hosts "Fart Alongs", where he livestreams himself performing fans' requests.

One Fart Along was Toto's Africa, which has been viewed 143,000 times.

He attributes his ability to fart in-tune with his hands to years of practice, saying that when he was growing up life was "boring" and “there was no Facebook”

He cites Weird Al Yankovic, who writes parody songs of big hits with reworked lyrics, as an inspiration.

In a radio interview, Mr First has stressed his fart sounds are always recorded live.
