The National Association for Jewish Orthodox Schools (Najos) plans to expand its services under new interim executive director Judith Nemeth.

An educationalist with more than 30 years' experience, Mrs Nemeth takes the reins from Jonathan Rabson.

Orthodox schools, she says, face "particular challenges in teacher training and in leadership and management training". Najos plans to support teachers "at every stage" and is looking at a virtual mentoring scheme.

Her consultancy Al Pi Darko runs courses for parents and teachers on children's learning and behaviour. She has been principal of Hasmonean High School girls' section and helped to set up the Ateres school in Gateshead.
