If you want to feel fabulous, all you have to do is come out of the closet and embrace your inner princess — according to Tracey Fine and Georgie Tarn, aka the Jewish Princesses.
Then, they say: “your Fabulosity will flow”.
The creators of The Jewish Princess brand, Ms Fine and Ms Tarn have written a book about how to live a fabulous lifestyle. The appropriately titled The Jewish Princess Guide to Fabulosity explores aspects such as friends, food, appearance, attitude and, of course, the Jewish mother-in-law. Ms Fine (pictured left) tells People: “When the publishers called us in we thought we had done something wrong — we suffer from Jewish guilt — but they wanted us to write this book. We felt that we had gained a lot of knowledge over the years to help us do so.”
Ms Tarn says: “We don’t believe there has been a fun lifestyle guide like this. It was fun to explore and hilarious to work on.”
The women write as the Jewish Princesses. “It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek,” she adds. “It’s a combination of wit, wisdom and worldly knowledge.”
In the section on friends, the princesses advise you to be wary of the “Park-and-Ride Pal — she asks you out, but you end up driving and picking up the tab for lunch.” The book follows the success of their previous books: The Jewish Princess Cookbook: Having Your Cake and Eating It and The Jewish Princess Cookbook: Feasts & Festivals with Family and Friends. Will there be a fourth? Maybe. But they are keeping it under wraps.
The women, who are in their 40s, have known each other since the age of nine. Ms Fine used to run a giftware company and Ms Tarn is a former aerobics instructor. They have five children between them.
