An award-winning Jewish playwright has begun work on a play about Donald Trump.
Tony Kushner, whose work includes the screenplay for the film Munich, has now revealed that he intends to write his next play about the US President.
The play will not focus on the presidency itself but will be set two years before Trump’s shock victory.
Despite his plans to write about Trump, Kushner, who is no relation to Trump’s son-in-law and advisor Jared, told the Daily Beast “the last five months have been astonishingly one-note and flat. He is precisely the kind of person who you would not want to be stuck next to at a party.”
However, Kushner explained “he is borderline psychotic. I definitely think that incoherence lends itself well to drama."
