Another three Jewish schools have been downgraded to "inadequate" in their latest Ofsted inspections.
The strictly Orthodox Menorah Grammar School in Edgware, the Chasidic Talmud Torah Bobov Primary School in Stamford Hill and the Chasidic Beis Rochel D'Satmar Girls' school in Hackney all scored four, the lowest grade, after their summer inspections.
When it was last inspected in 2012, Menorah Grammar was rated "good". But inspectors who visited the independent school for Orthodox Jewish boys in June said it had declined because "leaders and managers have not ensured that all the independent school standards are met".
Inspectors noted that, in order to improve, the school - which currently has 177 Orthodox Jewish boys on its books - "must improve the provision for the welfare and safety of students".
Meanwhile, Talmud Torah Bobov Primary, which caters for Orthodox boys in the Chasidic Bobov community between the ages of five and 14, was also downgraded.
Inspectors noted: "The proprietor has failed to ensure that all of the independent school standards are met".
In order to recover, they said the school "must improve the quality of teaching so that all inadequate teaching is eradicated".
Finally, Beis Rochel D'Satmar Girls' school was also graded as inadequate. The school, which belongs to the largest Chasidic sect in the the world, was said to not meet independent school standards.
Inspectors said that the school must immediately draw up a written policy on its curriculum, among other measures relating to the teaching and safeguarding of its pupils.
