The hip-hop rapping rabbi

Barmitzvah boy Gabe Knopf got more than he bargained for last Friday when his rabbi stood up and delivered a rap sermon. Rabbi Danny Bergson, of Pinner Synagogue, waxed lyrical from the pulpit: "Pray for Man-U to do better next season, but the rabbi wants you to know the reason/For being a Jew in the 21st century, you need to be proud and loud about your identity." Rabbi Bergson, who had never rapped before, said he may revert to hip-hop "maybe once in a blue moon".
