President Donald Trump’s son, Eric, has announced that his wife, Lara Yunaska Trump, is to give birth to a son in September. But suggestions that the baby will be Jewish have proved far from accurate.
When the news was announced, many reported that the baby would be the fourth Trump grandchild to be Jewish, as President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, who converted to Judaism when she married Jared Kushner, has three children. However, this turns out not to be true.

The confusion appears to have arisen from reports of the couple's wedding, which followed some Jewish traditions. The New York Post reported in 2014 that the happy couple were married under a "crystal-embellished chuppah" with Jewish brother-in-law Jared Kushner officiating. It is not clear that there was any Jewish content at the ceremony, but certainly Ms Yunaska Trump does not come from a Jewish background.
