After a narrow escape last week, Lord Sugar fired Mr Epstein when he led team Apollo to defeat with a row over yellow packaging.
As project manager Mr Epstein was tasked with creating a new brand of cleaning product and building a successful advertising campaign around it.
Synergy claimed a narrow victory, and Lord Sugar told them: “I wouldn’t say you’d won… technically you haven’t lost.”
He described Apollo’s efforts as “shockingly bad”, but Mr Epstein defended his work.
He said: “We took a risk. We went for something that looks and feels very different to what people have seen before but we did that for a reason.”
Mr Epstein reminded Lord Sugar that he had good management credentials, but Lord Sugar joked that he was “pouring more oil on the fire?” and fired him.
Unperturbed, as he left the show Mr Epstein said: “I’m going to be successful.
“I don’t need him.”
A former King David pupil, Mr Epstein once worked for Haagen Daaz as an ice cream manager.
He follows Joy Stefanicki and Melissa Cohen off the Apprentice. The only Jewish candidate still in the running to be Lord Sugar’s right hand man is Jamie Lester.
