A Jews for Jesus video has been condemned for drawing connections between the Holocaust, Jesus and punishment ahead of Holocaust Rememberance Day (Yom Hashoah) next week. The ‘That Jew Died For You’ video, which has had more than one million views on YouTube, opens with actors recreating scenes of Jews being deported to Auschwitz concentration camp in 1943. The men, women and children actors, who each wear a yellow star of David, approach the concentration camp gate as men dressed as Nazi officers holding up machine guns and Alsatian dogs shout orders in German. Another actor, dressed as Jesus Christ holding a large wooden cross, suddenly appears at the front of the gates. The Nazi officer directs him to the gas chamber. “Just another Jew,” he says.
