Rosh Hashanah shoppers in Golders Green were alarmed this morning after a website glitch meant online shopping from Tesco did not arrive.
Several customers reported that they had been concerned their shopping would not arrive in time for Rosh Hashanah, with one woman reporting the shopping had not appeared for her dinner plans for 27 people. Only the Golders Green store was believed to have been affected.
A Tesco spokesman said: “A small number of customers' orders were affected this morning. We will not be able to fulfill all of the orders today but are contacting all of those affected to make alternative arrangements.
"We apologise to all the customers affected by the delay in these deliveries.”
