Manchester mum Suzy Glaskie is having a pretty good year.
She is the founding director of Hale-based Peppermint PR, which has picked up a top national prize. It beat off competition from leading London firm Frank PR to win the Consumer award for its Sound Asleep campaign, starring England striker Wayne Rooney as "England's Best Snorer".
The account manager was Kate Moryoussef, a member of Hale Synagogue.
The honour follows a number of recent successes for Peppermint, including 'Freshest PR Stunt and Event', 'Freshest Consumer Campaign' and the 'Freshest Low Budget PR Campaign'. Oh, and the team have been shortlisted for four other accolades, notably one by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Awards -- to be announced later this month.
Bowdon-based Mrs Glaskie, 39, tells People: "The business started in 2004 from tiny roots in my house and Kate was the first person who joined me.
"We worked together for quite a while in our tracksuits and sharing a desk so this is a really nice progression.
"We are going for it big time in 2011. We have tripled in size since last year and are looking to double again, and continue to win blue-chip accounts and grow the team."
Mrs Glaskie runs the company with her husband Jean-Philippe - born in Salford.
As a result of the winning campaign, Sound Asleep, which unsurprisingly creates products to help people sleep, reported sales of more than 50,000 pillows in one week.
