Stacey Solomon has a fan at the Israeli Embassy: press attache Amir Ofek has been sporting photos of the Dagenham diva as a screensaver on his computer.
The X Factor finalist is due to sing at the Zionist Federation's late Israel Independence Day concert in London on Sunday - delayed because the volcanic ash crowd prevented the travel of Israeli guests in April, notably headline act Achinoam Nini, aka Noa.
Noa is also due to appear on Sunday, although without singing partner Mira Awad, an Israeli Arab, who pulled out of the original gig because of sensitivity over the Independence Day celebration.
But I can reveal that Noa and Mira are to be re-united in London later this year. They are winners of the New Israel Fund's human rights award and are scheduled to perform together at the presentation ceremony.
