The Real Madrid striker alerted Twitter fans by announcing "There are rumours that I'm going to be a star in Israel".
He appears in a commercial for leading telecommunications company HOT.
The Portuguese international can even be heard uttering a word of Hebrew, neshamah, which means "soul" but is used colloquially as a term of endearment.
