Simon Marks Jewish Primary School has said it plans to unveil a "refreshed senior leadership team" following its Ofsted downgrading.
Chair of governors Howard Pallis announced that the school was "implementing a raft of reforms in the coming months, which we believe will raise quality across the board".
This follows Ofsted's recent announcement that the Stoke Newington school had been marked down from a ranking of two - "good" - to a three - "requiring improvement" - after its May inspection.
Inspectors noted that "the action taken by school leaders to improve teaching and deal with staff changes is not always timely or effective. Governors have not always questioned leaders carefully enough about the impact of steps being taken."
They added: "The quality of teaching has declined this year and is not leading to pupils making consistently good progress across the school."
But they did commend the fact that "pupils make good progress in Year One and Year Six because teaching is consistently good".
Mr Pallis said they had begun recruiting new teachers and a new assistant head and were working closely with Hackney's Learning Trust.
He added: "The inspectors' report is clearly a challenge for us, but we are confident that we can respond and come back stronger than ever."
