Showbiz stars Andrew Sachs, Sarah Solemani, Nelly Tagar and Maureen Lipman were among the 300-strong audience at the gala opening of the UK Jewish Film Festival at BFI Southbank.
The movie was The Art Dealer, a French thriller about a young journalist's investigations into stolen art. Its director, Francois Margolin, and star, Anna Sigalevitch, also attended the premiere. Speaking at the event's reception, Culture Secretary Sajid Javid highlighted the contribution of Jews to the movie industry - and the impact of UKJFF over the past two decades.
