Jerusalem-born actress Natalie Portman could soon pick up her first Academy Award for her performance of the twisted dancer Nina Sayer in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan.
If she does, she'll be joining an impressive list of Jewish leading ladies who have gone on to Oscar glory - or at least come close.
