London diners raise a record £3.8m for UJIA projects

Prime Minister Gordon Brown was the guest speaker at the UJIA annual dinner and campaign launch. In his address, he told the 800-strong audience: "What makes UJIA so unique is that you do not just give money - you invest in people. You invest in the future. You invest in hope." At the fundraising dinner, held at the Hilton Hotel in London, UJIA unveiled plans to spend £20.5 million on education programmes in Israel and the UK. The event raised a record £3.77 million
