Some 40 MPs were among the 150 guests at a Conservative Friends of Israel farewell lunch for Israeli ambassador Ron Prosor before his departure from the UK. In his address, Foreign Secretary William Hague paid tribute to the ambassador – who is to take up the post of envoy at the United Nations – saying that he was held in high esteem and that he "valued their friendship". In reply, Ron Prosor reflected on his four years in the post. The event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in central London.
