Jewish talent stands out at this year’s Emmys, with nominations across the board for Jewish writers, filmmakers, and actors.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, the classic Jewish show with a very Jewish cast, has been nominated for four awards, after wrapping its last season this year. The series is in the running for casting for a comedy series, comedy series, and sound mixing for a comedy or drama series.

Larry David was nominated for lead actor in a comedy series for his work on Curb, which would give the actor a third Emmy to add to the collection.

Ebon Moss Bachrach was nominated for supporting actor in a comedy series in The Bear. Jon Bernthal and Jame Lee Curtis, who both have Jewish ancestry, were also nominated for their work on the hit Netflix show.

Paul Rudd will be up against Bachrach, with his nomination for his supporting role in Only Murders in the Building. Matthew Broderick made a guest appearance on the show, and is nominated for the guest actor in a comedy category for playing himself.

Comedian Alex Edelman was nominated for his writing for ‘Just for Us’ a one man show that saw him receive a Tony award earlier this year.

Seth Meyers received a nod for hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Jon Stweard is up against him after making a return to The Daily Show.

Maya Rudolf was nominated for lead actress in a comedy series for Loot, and received three other nominations, too – two for guest-hosting “Saturday Night Live” and one for her voiceover work in Netflix’s “Big Mouth”.

Hannah Einbinder received a nomination for lead supporting actress in a comedy series for Hacks.

Jewish writers were nominated this year, too. Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted received a nomination in the television movie category, and Eric André was nominated for his series The Eric Andre Show.

Albert Brooks’ documentary Defending my Life received a nomination. Brooks is Jewish, and so is filmmaker Rob Reiner, who directed the film. Eugene Levy was nominated for his show The Reluctant Traveller.

A few Jew-ish celebs were also nominated in this year’s Emmys. Tom Hollander, for example, received a nomination for lead actor in a TV anthology or movie for Feud: Capote vs the Swans. The actor’s father’s family were Czech Jews who espaced the Nazis, but his father converted to Catholicism in the UK.
