The Otto Schiff Housing Association hosted a London reception to celebrate its transformation from care provider for more than 200 people into a grant-making trust. The event, held at the London Jewish Cultural Centre in Golders Green, celebrated the potential raising of £57 million from the sale of its assets, the bulk of which has benefited 18 communal charities. In his address to the 150-strong audience Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks paid tribute to the trustees of OSHA, who, he said had "achieved something truly extraordinary".
