Foreign Secretary William Hague was the guest speaker at the UJIA annual dinner. Mr Hague described Israel as a friend of Great Britain and explained how his recent visit to Israel was spent "celebrating the close ties between Britain and Israel and looking for ways to strengthen them in the future". The event, held at the Hilton in central London, attracted over 700 guests, and raised £2.2 million for UJIA’s education programmes in the UK and Israel.
