Around 200 people came to the gala opening of the Leeds UK Jewish Film Festival at the Cottage Road Cinema. On the night, two films were presented: the award-winning Israeli film Noodle, and Sidney Turtlebaum, featuring Sir Derek Jacobi as a trickster targeting shivah houses. Sidney Turtlebaum scriptwriter Raphael Smith gave the audience an introduction to the film.
