BBC newscaster Emily Maitlis was the guest speaker for World Jewish Relief at a Guildhall dinner which raised £1.5m. Ms Maitlis, a WJR supporter, told the 580 guests: “The charity has played a central role in some of the most turbulent chapters in world history”
