The case of Chaim Walder - a Charedi author accused of sexually assaulting women and children - has reportedly sparked a surge in the number of Jews seeking help in the UK.
Jewish News reported on Thursday that Migdal Emunah - a charity which supports survivors of sexual abuse and violence - has had around 100 enquiries since November, compared to an average of up to two during this period.
Among them, around 20 people reportedly sought support over the December holiday period.
“We know it’s had an impact in the UK because of the numbers coming to us for help,” chief executive Yehudis Goldsobel told the newspaper. “They’ve been triggered by it.”
