Mums and mums-to-be can find all sorts of useful baby-related information at the tap of a button thanks to a new and free online service launched by London duo Sarah Peston and Naomi Goldman.
Jewishbabydirectory.com features a range of activities, places and services for under-fives. Mrs Peston (left), an events organiser at the British-Israel Chamber of Commerce, tells People: "We felt there was nothing out there for busy people who need a one-stop shop. We both have two children and found it very difficult to find out what was going on, such as where you can take your children on a Sunday and what is most appropriate for a two-year-old."
The site includes information on aspects ranging from theatre listings to maternity clothes to financial entitlements. There is also an "Ask the rabbi" section. The site is currently geared towards the north-London community but the women are hoping to expand.
"We are still trying to get the word out at the moment and will see how well it goes," says Mrs Peston, who is married to the head of community liaison at JFS.
Mrs Goldman is a science teacher at the Henrietta Barnett School.
