Israel’s State Attorney will be opening a criminal investigation into Sara Netanyahu, its office announced on Sunday.
The news comes following an investigative report on current affairs TV programme, Uvda, in December, which alleged that she had ordered Hani Levis, a family advisor, to orchestrate demonstrations outside the home of Hadas Klein, a key witness in one of her husband’s corruption cases.
The news was welcomed by MK Naama Lazimi, who had requested that Sara Netanyahu be investigated following the Channel 12 programme
According to the Jerusalem Post, Lazimi said: “I will not remain silent. I will not let up, and I will not let this affair be buried. Justice will be done. We will make sure it happens."
