Businesswoman Samantha likes tea so much that she has named her new company, Tea Party, after it.
Samantha, 39, sets up private tea parties for groups of girls and women who, as she puts it, range from 8 to 109. Sam hosts them at a tea room in Finchley, north London, where they are served traditional tea on vintage china.
She tells People: “I used to work in recruitment but when I went back to work after having my daughter I got made redundant. I thought about how much I like teas and that not many people do them so I decided to set up a venture that does.”
She adds: “I think there has been a shift away from women wanting to drink alcohol towards tea,” says the mother-of-one. “A lot of children at the parties want tea, which came as quite a surprise. They have a mature taste and want to be grown-up ladies.”
