The creator of Ali G and The Dictator has sold a spy comedy to Hollywood studio Paramount.

The film will reportedly tell the story of a secret agent forced to go on the run with his slow-witted brother and will take a satirical look at a genre popularised by the James Bond franchise. The odd-couple film is the brainchild of Mr Baron Cohen and his new writing partner Phil Johnston.

Industry magazine Variety has suggested that Mr Baron Cohen will take the comic role in the as-yet untitled film, and star as the idiot brother.
