Trust the sourpuss Iranian media agency Press TV to cast a jaundiced eye on Prince Charles’s presence at the inauguration of new Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis last week.
The kippah’d heir to the throne was said to have worn “a Jewish cap” in a headline to an article on its English language website, which claimed that he had displayed “his most explicit ever show of allegiance with the Jews”. (The headline to an iPhone version of the article said the prince “acts Jew”).
The royal family was reported to enjoy close ties with Israel’s “Zionist regime”.
But this was nothing to comments posted by visitors to the site, who claimed that Zionist terrorists had “brought UK to the edge of bankruptcy”, endorsed the Protocols of the Elders of Zion” and said the prince was “paying tribute to his masters”.
