Prime minister Boris Johnson has criticised UK universities, saying that they have for "far too long been tolerant of casual or indeed systematic antisemitism."
The Prime Minister also said that it was important there was immediate change to British universities to make Jewish students feel comfortable on campus and promised a taskforce to root out antisemitism at all levels of the education system.
Johnson was replying to Brigg and Goole MP Andrew Percy who brought up the NUS' decision to book anti-Israel rapper Lowkey to appear at their annual conference.
Mr Percy asked the PM if he "could do everything in his power" to ensure Jewish students felt safe at their universities in the wake of rising campus antisemitism as well as examples of Jewish students being marked down for their views.
