Police have cancelled an arrest warrant issued for two grandparents who failed to attend court after allegedly sending their daughter an offensive letter made with cut-out magazine letters.
It is understood that Hedy Freedman, 71, and Steven Freedman, 76, from Crosby in Merseyside, are now expected to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on April 13.
The two pensioners, who were originally due in court on March 9, are accused of sending a letter to “convey an indecent or offensive message” to their daughter Danielle Freedman Hampson.
The letter was created “for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient,” according to the charge.
