Two people named in the email as senders deny any involvement
August 18, 2020 17:13Thames Valley Police are investigating an antisemitic email sent to the JC, several local councils and to other media organisations from a group calling for “all Jews, Muslims and non-whites” to be repatriated from the UK.
Emailed by a group named the Keep Britain Pure League, the highly offensive message included the claim that Jews “are in charge of the money.”
It added: “The only think (sic) Hitler did wrong, was not kill enough of them.”
The email also included an address for the organisation in Milton Keynes, Bucks, and gave the names of two individuals who were said to be the group’s leader and media co-ordinator.
The email was sent to the JC, the Sunday Times and to Dorset and Chester councils amongst others on August 15.
It was signed with the words “Heil Hitler.”
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police confirmed to the JC: ”We have received a report relating to this email and it is being investigated as malicious communications. We are working to establish the source of the correspondence. No arrests have been made.”
An earlier report in the local Milton Keynes Citizen on August 10 confirmed that the highly offensive email had been sent out by the same organisation on an earlier date.
The Milton Keynes Citizen has spoken to both the people named in the email who denied having anything to do with sending it.
The KBPL "leader" named as a male was also revealed to be currently in the process of transitioning from man to woman.
"Why would I be promoting a far right organisation when they would hate me for changing my gender?" she said.
"I'm taking hormones, I've changed my name and I am now living as a woman. I have no disrespect for people, regardless of their creed, race or gender."
She agreed it was her email address but said it has been hacked into.
"I know they can do that. I watched a programme on television about it last week," she said.
The second person named on the email confirmed she was married to the "leader" named on the email but the marriage is said to have broken up when her husband began gender transitioning.
"I'm terrified that I've been named," she said. "I've had nothing at all to do with this email or this so-called Keep Britain Pure League, but people are targeting us. They attacked my house, put nails under my car and given us abuse. I am worried for the safety of my children."
The Milton Keynes Citizen said the email was sent to a huge list of recipients including local parish councils, charity and business leaders. It was also reported to police.
