For his 70th birthday, Lord Sugar has shelled out £25,000 for the sort of birthday present that usually money can’t buy.
The presenter of The Apprentice made the massive donation to Comic Relief to get Piers Morgan, a lifelong Arsenal supporter, to don a Tottenham Hotspur shirt for charity.
Lord Sugar, who is a former Spurs chairman, tweeted a picture of Mr Morgan – with whom he has a long-standing feud on social media – in the kit of Arsenal's arch north London rivals.. In addition, Mr Morgan is seen gagged in the picture.
In a tweet to his millions of followers, Lord Sugar wrote: “The best birthday present I could have asked for on my 70th,:
I couldn't resist it. We've raised £50K for @comicrelief. The good news is that @piersmorgan is gagged for a day wearing a Spurs shirt @GMB pic.twitter.com/vpCLhCEjJu

In response, Mr Morgan sent an update to his followers which read: “I'm now silenced on Twitter for the next 24hrs for @comicrelief Try not to miss me too much.”
Earlier this week the Good Morning Britain presenter challenged viewers to pay £50,000 to see him don Spurs colours. The peer immediately stumped up half the cash, recognising that it was an unmissable opportunity.
