Recognise this lady? If so, you may have been an unsuspecting victim for her upcoming Channel 4 show,
Olivia Lee's Naughty Bits.
The show, part of Channel 4's Comedy Lab series, is a hidden-camera prank show in which Miss Lee, 28, acts out a series of comedy dares. Written by Ms Lee, the sketches - inspired by the Sex and the City characters - feature her unpacking her food shopping in a kitchen showroom and attempting to return a toaster because its hard drive does not work, among other shenanigans. "You don't know what reaction you are going to get," she tells People. "It's hard to keep a straight face. Sometimes you just have to breathe in to stop yourself from laughing."
Ms Lee, star of Channel 4's Balls of Steel, adds: "I very much have a Jewish humour. It's pretty self-deprecating. I've got what my grandmother describes as chutzpah."
Graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, Ms Lee - featured in the JC two years ago as one of the most promising stars of comedy - went on to land a presenting stint with Never Mind The Buzzcocks host Simon Amstell on Channel 4's T4. She has also worked with Boltonian comedian Paddy McGuinness, Rob Brydon and Leigh Francis, who plays Avid Merrion in the hit show Bo' Selecta!
What's the ultimate dream? "To carry on doing more of the same. I love what I do, working in comedy."
Home is in Highgate, North London.
Olivia Lee's Naughty Bits is on Channel 4 on August 28 at 10.50pm
