Last weekend Northern Region Students attended their Spring Term Regional Weekend Getaway, held in Durham. Over 50 students from all over Scotland and North East England attended the event - a record high.
The event started with a traditional Shabbaton with afternoon presentations from Inbar Radyan the UJIA Youth Shlicha, and Richard Gold from Engage, who spoke about volunteering in Israel and antisemitism on Campus.
However, the highlight of the weekend was the Saturday afternoon tour of Durham city, where all the students enjoyed the historic sites as well as seeing the film set for the Harry Potter films.
Emily Black and Susie Sandle, Co-Chairs of Durham JSoc, said: "It was nice that Durham managed to hold such a large event, in particular since the Durham Synagogue closed down over 60 years ago."
