Barbra Streisand fans get ready - this month Netflix will release a concert documentary about the musical superstar, called Barbra: The Music…The Mem’ries…The Magic!
Netflix filmed a recording of Streisand's 2016 tour, a series of concerts that accompanied the release of the singer's Broadway duets album. The album, tour and documentary feature special appearances by Seth MacFarlane, Jamie Foxx, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman and Melissa McCarthy.
This is the 75-year-old star's seventh tour. Initially planned for nine American locations, Barbra: The Music…The Mem’ries…The Magic! was extended to include four additional stops, resulting in a total of 14 shows in 13 cities.
And no one will be raining on any of Streisand's parades as she was not only the featured performer but also directed the film (along with Jim Gable), served as executive producer (along with Marty Erlichman) and wrote the film (along with Jay Landers and Richard Jay-Alexander). Nice work if you can get it, eh.
Barbra: The Music…The Mem’ries…The Magic! will be released globally by Netflix on Wednesday, November 22.
