The man who helped steer the careers of global superstars such as U2 and Amy Winehouse has been knighted at Buckingham Palace.
Sir Lucian Grainge, Universal Music Group chairman, was invested in the Order of the British Empire and Knight Bachelor by Prince William in a ceremony held last week.
He was awarded the knighthood in the Queen’s 90th birthday honours back in June for his contribution to the music industry and his British business.
Originally from Finchley, north London, the Los Angeles-based record label boss worked through the ranks at Universal UK.
Sir Lucian and his wife, Lady Caroline Grainge, attended his investiture ceremony with their children, Elliot and Alice.
