A mother is looking to thank four students from Yavneh College who stepped in to help her three-year-old son after he crashed his bike, suffering severe head injuries.

The mother of the boy praised the students on a Facebook group for restoring her "faith in humanity" and appealed to her community in Borehamwood to help find them.

Lisa Bourke posted in the What's Coming To The Wood Facebook group and wrote: "My three-year-old son couldn't stop on his balance bike, went right into a brick wall and unfortunately he severely injured his head.

"I was on my own and had to try and stop the bleeding. If they weren't there to help by calling 999 and helping me a lot with my son I don't know how I would have coped."

She posted the message with a picture of her son in hospital covered in a bandage because she wanted to thank the four teenage boys from Yavneh College.

"If anybody knows who there are I would like to really thank them for everything."

Marcelle Becker Schechter replied to her post saying she was a parent of one of the boys who had helped.

She wrote: "We are so happy that your son is fine and doing well. X"
